Host Home Info

Provide sleeping space for 8–12 students (plus 2-3 Adult leaders).
Allow students to arrive Friday night after the evening session and leave Sunday morning before church.

HOST HOME NEEDS:
-Floor space for sleeping bags/air mattresses
-Access to bathrooms
-A simple Saturday breakfast (cereal, muffins, breakfast casserole, donuts, etc.)
-A simple Sunday breakfast before returning to church
-Help create a safe, welcoming environment where students feel at home
-Be available if an emergency or issue arises during the night

THE CHURCH PROVIDES:
-All programming
-Worship sessions
-Speaker
-Small group curriculum
-Saturday lunch and dinner (if that's your plan)
-Adult small group leaders
-Emergency contacts and schedules

HOST HOME EXPECTATIONS:
-Follow the church's safety policies
-Have at least one responsible adult present overnight
-Separate sleeping arrangements for male and female groups.
-No additional activities without approval (the schedule is already full)
-Communicate with the student's small group leaders if any issues arise

WHAT A TYPICAL WEEKEND LOOKS LIKE:

FRIDAY:

*Students attend the opening session
*Around 11:00, groups arrive at the host home
*Hang out, debrief the night, then lights out

SATURDAY:

*Breakfast at the host home
*Head back to the church for the day's sessions and activities
*Return Saturday night for discussion and sleep

SUNDAY:

*Breakfast
*Return to the church for the final session and worship
